If there is such a thing as a hidden gem in this city, I HAVE FOUND IT. And its name is Bacaro. Unfortunately it happens to be nonchalantly nestled in over in South LA right by USC, but I am definitely willing to cross enemy lines for this one :) My very best friend [and Trojan] took me there yesterday for their happy hour when all small plates are $5 and you can get a 1/2 liter of sangria for $5! Steal! We got the poached shrimp, tomato basil and roasted garlic and pesto bruschette, the Bacaro burger, and the roasted fresh tomato pizza...and sangria :) Great food and a great atmosphere...hands down new favorite!
